Silence

The Silence
is the answer
to the question left unsaid.

The ultimate insult —
one who's effects affect
not only the target,
but the air —
creating a wordless aura
suffocating,
masking true meaning,
blinding the mind's eye.

To be locked out
of the fortress of solitude,
not even the silent one,
leaves you more alone
than if you were the one with the key.
