with something to say
and now,
you're blog's getting googled right away
cuz you caught a hot link
from some site with major sway
because the mass media's fixed
itself into a niche market these days,
there's an information taking place,
evolution in action
mental filters built in front of his face
separating nuggets from taint
like a 19th-century Gold Rush Western State.

So the Revolution's online,
but hasn't gone viral
sent from account to account
in address book spirals
e-mailed as links
and attached downloadable files
because there's too much
chicken noodle soup
spreading minstrel show smiles.

So fuck a soda on the side
we need something stronger
because crass commercial
interest's reach is longer.
Our arms may be too short
to box with the gods,
but we'll be fighting
like post-Stillmatic NaS
brute force enlightenment
for the rights of the cause
and get heads to pause ...
and acknowledge
