Must-See TV — 9/2/05
Here's what I've been watching this summer, but read the list knowing it will soon change as the fall season kicks in.
Radio Free Roscoe — I can't DVR this any longer because it's not on TV in America, or Canada for that matter, but I'm leaving it here because I still think it's awesome. Not because I have all 52 episodes on my computer and I'm waiting for someone to ask so I can send samples. Nothing like that.
The Comeback — I was off this for a minute, but I've decided it deserves a second chance, for no particular reason.
Curb Your Enthusiam — They call out all the stuff that bugs you, but you don't make a fuss about because it's not worth it.
The Daily Show — I tape this thinking I'll watch it because it's something of a cultural touchstone, but I just don't think it's as funny when you watch it alone.
Degrassi: The Next Generation — My brother made me tape the every-episode marathon and never watched it. The saving grace this season was the Kevin Smith appearance.
Russell Simmons Presents: Def Poetry — I can't often get myself to sit down and watch this, but I love it every time I do. I also get more and more convinced this is something I can do
Entourage — Vince and Mandy, sitting in a tree … whoops.
Friends — I know I'm a little late to the party here, but this is a really good show. Thank goodness for syndication.
Fooly Cooly — This is seriously crazy. But incredibly watchable.
The Inside — This greatly entertained me for four episodes, but I have a nagging feeling it was canceled.
Instant Star — I'm quickly becoming sucked in to this. Which is embarassing. Really, I only watch because I like Alexz Johnson. She's the new Avril. And also 19, which makes me a lil' more sketchball this time around. At least I didn't pick Skye Sweetnam.
Too Late with Adam Carolla — I gotta be honest, I probably haven't watched this since the first week. Carolla's probably a really funny guy to hang out with, but I don't think he's at his best carrying a show.
Robot Chicken — Sometimes hilarious, sometimes baffling, but oh-so-worth it for the good stuff.
