On the Box
Must-See TV — 9/18/05
The fall schedule is officially in effect.
Radio Free Roscoe — I can't DVR this any longer because it's not on TV in America, or Canada for that matter, but I'm leaving it here because I still think it's awesome. Not because I have all 52 episodes on my computer and I'm waiting for someone to ask so I can send samples. Nothing like that.
Bones — The chances of me watching this are not high. But hey, I might get bored.
The Comeback — I can't really get into this. I keep trying, though.
Curb Your Enthusiam — They call out all the stuff that bugs you, but you don't make a fuss about because it's not worth it.
The Daily Show — I tape this thinking I'll watch it because it's something of a cultural touchstone, but I just don't think it's as funny when you watch it alone.
Degrassi: The Next Generation — My brother made me tape the every-episode marathon and never watched it. The saving grace this season was the Kevin Smith appearance.
Russell Simmons Presents: Def Poetry — I can't often get myself to sit down and watch this, but I love it every time I do. I also get more and more convinced this is something I can do.
Friends — I know I'm a little late to the party here, but this is a really good show. Thank goodness for syndication.
Fooly Cooly — This is seriously crazy. But incredibly watchable.
House — House and his crack team of precocious docs return for Season Two. I'm hype. And still can't get over seeing Omar Epps as a neurologist. He was a star tailback in college and two-sport star on the professional level. Is he bad at anything?
Instant Star — The season finale's this Friday. I'm saddened. And buying the soundtrack. Yeah, I know I'm a dork.
Laguna Beach — Sam Rubenstein (formerly The Intern) and Lang Whitaker from SLAMonline got me to give this a chance. I blame them if it's dunzo.
The O.C. — It's baa-ack. My favorite completely trashy TV show returns for Season Three. I'm ready. Unlike Kirsten, who got so set up by Charlotte in Episode Two it wasn't even funny.
Robot Chicken — Sometimes hilarious, sometimes baffling, but oh-so-worth it for the good stuff.
Reunion — They got me watching after The O.C. Interesting concept. We'll see if the show reaches its potential.
Too Late with Adam Carolla — This is officially on life support. I haven't watched it in a month.
